Woven

It's an act of being that we weave objects into our existence. These items radiate with emotions and feelings that inform and consume us. At moments our possessions take value and control of our lives leaving us unable to differentiate between the animate and inanimate. The constant presence of these material possessions are connected to memories, some of which are good or bad.

Evolving through life we begin to shed and reflect on the past. We start to rid ourselves of the emotional bind we've acquired to belongings that have been weighing us down and keeping our emotions firmly woven.
This sculptural installation consists of three photographs of a large scale weaving of personal objects. The figure is sculpted and woven with fabric. The concept is to reveal this woven connection we have with our everyday objects.
